Thank you to all who submitted applications for Waste Prevention Equipment grants during the recent grant cycle. 25 requests for funding were received, and five projects have been approved including a switch to reusable plastic pallets and totes at the Berkeley Food Network and the replacement of cardboard boxes with reusable plastic totes at eight farms that transport produce to East Bay farmers markets. The StopWaste Use Reusables team is supporting the new grantees as they put the projects in place.
